This paper is written by the famed free-market economist Milton Friedman. It is probably the best treatise on the what ails health care and how to remedy it that has ever been written, in my opinion. Dr. Friedman exposes the core of the problem: Third-Party first dollar benefit pre-paid coverage combined with employer sponsored “insurance” as the main driver of soaring costs and the disconnect in the medical marketplace.
