Don’t be fooled by the data from AFL/CIO that shows wages higher in mandatory union states. Those wages were higher to begin with the select industries where there were still jobs, as was unemployment, do to suppression of non-union jobs and over-all job growth due to restriction of competition.
Data from the Dept’s of Commerce and Labor indicate that compensation growth and employment is much better in Right to Works states from 2000 – 2010 compared to force union states. http://www.nrtwc.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Junepg3-chart1.jpg
