Masking the Truth

Masks are substitutes for distance, not symbols of solidarity.

Masks protect against droplet & airborne viruses, they are not piety markers.

Masks allow safer interaction if someone is contagious, they are not signs of sanctimony.

Masks are a tool, not a testimony.

Masks should be temporary, not timeless.

Masks hide part of our humanity, they do not make us more humane.

Masks are an unintended consequence, not a uniform code of conduct.

Masks create fear, mass immunity creates freedom.

Masks help us cope, they don’t measure how much we care.
